Walkbot strides ahead, fueled by gravity. Mount it on a slight incline, lean it slightly to one side, let go and watch as it effortlessly glides down the slope. A distinct "walka-walka" resonance echoes through the air as it moves. Check out the video of its movement here: http://youtu.be/vgM6PPkw6cQ Make use of a straightened 1.75mm filament as the axle or design and print out the axle if your printer can handle such minute details. To assemble Walkbot, position the legs within the body and carefully push the axle through both the body and legs as illustrated in the assembly diagram. The legs must swing freely inside the body to allow for smooth movement. Attach the arms outside the body on the axle, making slight adjustments by moving them up or down to maintain balance. Walkbot was brought into existence with Solidworks and its design also owes a debt of gratitude to Roberto Lou Ma's plans that can be accessed here: http://blog.dugnorth.com/2011/02/download-plans-for-ramp-walking-wooden.html
