Walkabot - Gravity Powered Ramp Walking Robot

Walkabot - Gravity Powered Ramp Walking Robot

thingiverse

Walkabot, a gravity-powered ramp walker, moves down slopes once placed on a shallow incline and tipped sideways. As it walks, the robot emits a "walka-walka" sound. Watch it in action here: http://youtu.be/vgM6PPkw6cQ. To assemble, use a 1.75mm filament as an axle or print one out if your printer can handle small diameters. Follow the assembly diagram to position legs inside the body and push through the axle. Legs should swing freely within the body. Attach arms on the outside of the body on the axle, adjusting balance by moving them up and down. Walkabot's design is a product of Solidworks and inspired by Roberto Lou Ma's plans available at http://blog.dugnorth.com/2011/02/download-plans-for-ramp-walking-wooden.html.
