Wakam
thingiverse
Wakam (Walabot creator Kentucky camera) is a 3D-printable multicamera device combining the fisheye visible-light view from an Insta360 Air with radar imaging capabilities of a Walabot Creator. The Wakam device can be powered by connecting two USB cables to a host, and it displays live feed painting radar data over the fisheye view in real time. This innovative device will be showcased at the Electronic Imaging 2020 conference along with its associated software, which will be posted on this website around the same time as the conference. To assemble the Wakam device, you'll need to print five separate parts from three different designs: three grub screws, one left side, and one right side. The left and right sides are secured together using the 3 grub screws, while the back side features a printed text label. It's essential to note that all screw threads and tripod threads at the bottom of the device are also printed. The total cost of the Wakam unit is significantly lower than its individual components. The Walabot Creator costs approximately $75, and the Insta360 Air can be purchased for around half its original price of $100, making the entire assembly well under $150.
