Right tibiotarsus fragments from Waimanu manneringi are now preserved in the collections of the Canterbury Museum, identified by accession number CM zfa 35. A digital replica of the bone was created by Daniel Thomas at the Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Massey University, using a HP SLS-2 3D Scanner with HP 3D scan 5 software (Blender 2.74 for post-processing). The bone's bounding box measures 190.5 x 35.6 x 33.3 mm in size.
