Wahoo Elemnt ziptie mount
thingiverse
Simple ziptie mount for Wahoo Elemnt series of bicycle GPS computers. This design is tailored for a support-touching buildplate option. The ziptie holes are positioned so that they can easily bridge, eliminating the need for a support sandwiched between layers of the part. To ensure successful printing, support material is necessary. Printing it right side up will result in several pieces of support material to remove, whereas printing it upside down will yield only one piece to take out. The dimensions of this mount were fine-tuned through trial and error for my printer, which produces slightly smaller inside dimensions than ideal. If the Elemnt GPS computer is not securely seated within the mount, you can modify the Fusion 360 file by going to "Solid- Modify- Change Parameters" and adjusting the appropriate dimension. The Fusion 360 file can also be customized to accommodate an out-front mount such as a Bar Fly or a budget-friendly overseas model. To do this, roll back to an earlier version of the design and suppress the chamfer on the mount holes. For a Bar Fly, set "mountHoleDia" to at least 4.2mm, "mountHoleSeparation" to 20mm, and "mountHoleChamfer" to 2.5mm. For an overseas mount, use "mountHoleDia" of at least 3.2mm, "mountHoleSeparation" of 22mm, "mountHoleChamfer" of 2.0mm or more, and "puckOD" of 33.5mm.
