Wahl Guard 1.5, 2 inch
thingiverse
A Durable 1.5in and 2in Inch Wahl Guard for Cutting Hair. The guard features a two-part design that provides exceptional durability and eliminates the need for supports during printing. The FCStd files are available for download, allowing users to modify the design as needed. The two parts can be easily assembled using screws or hot glue. I designed this guard specifically for the Wahl clipper I purchased from Amazon. The clipper is available at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JNQSIQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The guard has a 1.2mm wall thickness and features 20% infill. To ensure stability during printing, it's highly recommended to add a brim as the fins of the guard have a small surface area in contact with the print bed. If the tab is too tight on the clippers, users can easily shave it down using a file or nail file. To create smaller guards, simply move the model into negative z-axis in the slicer. For printing guards for sides, slice at a 4-degree tilt for a gradual cut up one Wahl size. An example picture of the blue guard shows a 4-degree tilt from the Wahl guard size 2 up to size 3. The screws used are countersunk micro machine screws with an M1.6 thread size and a length of 4mm. These screws can be purchased in lots of 100 at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100pcs-lot-DIN965-Stainless-steel-countersunk-flat-head-philips-micro-machine-screw-M1-M1-2-M1/1000005382453.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.43964c4d0X5ZcZ for $1.68 per lot. I use these screws as my preferred choice for 3D printing projects.
