WAGO 221 mounts

UPDATE 5/1/17 !!!! - I've made significant changes to the WAGO 221 mount design, giving users complete control over key dimensions: tab hole radius, tab thickness (height), and tab width (and length). These customizations will allow for seamless integration with various frames. UPDATE 4/19/17 !!!! - A new mirror mode has been added to the OpenSCAD file. By setting Mirror==2, users can now lay the mounts flat instead of standing them up. This feature is showcased in the "WAGO 221 mount 5C-3C-2C M2.stl" example. UPDATE 2/1/17 !!!! - Originally designed using Tinkercad for the 5 conductor version, 221-415, I've now re-created the mounts using OpenSCAD. This update allows users to configure the design for any of the three WAGO 221 connector versions: 221-412 (2 conductors), 221-413 (3 conductors), and 221-415 (5 conductors). Users can specify the number and combination of connectors, as well as whether to create two back-to-back rows or a single row. The tabs are also optional. Additional mounts have been generated for the 221-412 and 221-413 connectors. Furthermore, STL files that combine all three connector versions - 221-412, 221-413, and 221-415 - are now available. Using the OpenSCAD file, users can create custom WAGO 221 mounts and export them as STLs. 1/31/17 - With a surplus of WAGO 221-415 connectors on hand, I decided to design my own mounting solution. These connectors are preferred over the 222 series due to their slimmer profile. However, upon searching Thingiverse, I found no suitable cases for the 221 series, prompting me to create my own. Specifically designed for the 221-415, 5 conductor connectors, these mounts accommodate a single 221-415 up to a 3 x 2 configuration. The design features mounting tabs that can be secured to frames made of wood or 2020 extrusions using 4mm diameter holes. I've tested the single 221-415 and the 2 x 1 configurations, with a 221-415 fitting snugly within both designs, as evident in the provided photos. Please note that slight adjustments to the scale may be necessary depending on your printer's specifications, due to tight tolerances. Even minor changes of up to 0.2mm can result in a poor fit or excessive looseness. I recommend using a 0.1mm layer height for optimal results, as the tolerances are extremely tight and require precision to ensure a good fit.
