I bought the Wagner Power Tex Texture Sprayer to apply drywall mud (for orange peel or knock-down) or "popcorn" texture (snow tex) on ceilings and walls. You can find it at your orange big-box home improvement store. I certainly don't recommend the tool, but depending on circumstances or size of project, it might be what you have to work with. The biggest complaint I had with the sprayer was that it doesn't blow material with enough force, so the material flows out of the nozzle and all over my hands and the handle/trigger. It becomes a huge mess. This nozzle drip guard will reduce the amount of material dripping down, somewhat. It doesn't completely solve the problem, but it makes using the tool a bit more bearable. I designed it to simply go onto the material outlet, and is then held in place by screwing on whichever nozzle attachment you want to use. I didn't spend too much time designing/modifying it, as the first run worked effectively for what I needed. It's intended to be a throw-away attachment, although it can be cleaned and re-used. Simply print as-is without scaling or rotating. Definitely no need for supports. I found PLA with 0.2 mm layer high worked fine. A brim for build-plate adhesion is highly recommended to ensure it doesn't run away while printing.
