Wade's Small Gear with Ring Nut
thingiverse
For hot-running motors and PLA gears, use an M3 tap, 2.5mm drill bit, and hand-drill to add a nut slot with a pre-drilled hole and tapped thread for the setscrew. Also, create a depression for the setscrew head to avoid protrusion. This ensures proper meshing with the large gear on the hobbed bolt in Wade's carriage. Drill the nut hole, print the gear, insert the nut, trim the setscrew, press the gear onto the shaft, and tighten as desired for a secure, non-warped fit.
