This baseplate is engineered to pair seamlessly with the micro x-carriage found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:972856. Removing this x-carriage base requires simply undoing three screws, after which the entire assembly comes off effortlessly. The micro x-carriage maintains optimal tension on the x-axis belts even when the extruder/hotend is removed. Designed to accommodate any wade-style groovemount extruder paired with an actual jhead hot-end, this baseplate also features a fan shroud that can be mounted on a 40mm fan to effectively cool the jhead fins. Further refinement of a fan mount to cool plastic as it exits the nozzle is currently underway.
