We were assembling Prusa i3 Rework RepRaps in the DCRL at UWM, deciding then to replace traditional 8mm hobbed bolts with new 5/16 inch hobbed bolts on our build project, but soon realized this change required an altered gear size that no longer fit properly onto the hex head of each bolt. I performed a swift search for any readily available Imperial version of the standard gear, but found nothing suitable so turned to editing the existing 8mm gear to conform with our needs by redesignating it as a 5/16 inch gear unit instead.
