Wacom Stylus Setup
sketchfab
Since my Cintiq 12wx is on its last legs, I decided to whip up a quick scene. Kept it simple yet graphic, but it's still a great example of using shaders or, conversely, not using them at all. Initially, I set up the scene with every asset utilizing numerous shaders, but after some consideration, I thought it best to stick with a super basic shader setup. Using very basic Diffuse Maps for the assets, Specular Map on the styluses to achieve varying gloss and matte surfaces, a normal map on the holders to give the embossed 'Wacom' logo some dimensionality, and an Ambient Occlusion Map on the entire scene to add some much-needed depth. Then, I employed SketchFabs native processing tools to inject some serious depth and visual interest into the image. Great exercise for students and professionals alike!
