W8BH - Morse Code Tutor Case (Board 2A)
thingiverse
This thing provides a full set of parts to assemble, use and display the Morse Code Tutor board designed by Bruce Hall (W8BH) for his Rev 2A board which uses a STM32 processor and a 2.2 inch lcd. Be aware that there are multiple versions of this board and some use even a different processor. Credit should also be given to Jack Purdum (W8TEE), the original creator of this concept, who started all the creative juices flowing. This is a derivative work of the design originally done by Jerry (K0ES) and shared in the w8bhMorseTutor group.io. My design differed from Jerry's in that I soldered the STM32 to the board so that I could make the overall thickness of the case smaller, as seen in the photo. Also note that I have successfully run this off of USB with a 2.5mm male plug to USB connector with the internal voltage of the buck set at just under 4V. This also includes remixes of the following other things: Knobs from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3452325, where the main change was the reduction of the depth of the shaft hole so that when placed on the encoder it would not bottom out and prevent inward press. The "volume" knob is no change from the original. Suggest print at 103% to fit shafts. And Stand from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:37283, where I shortened the uprights of the stand to better fit the box and lengthened the carrying arm to better secure the box. I used the uprights labeled "short" but included the "long" ones if that better fits your use.
