W123 passenger mirror extension
thingiverse
The passenger mirror on my 1985 300D Mercedes would not tilt far enough toward the body of the car so I made a small extender to extend the distance the mirror could adjust. I'm not sure why this is the case for me, if this is typical or an issue with my car and my seat adjustment specifically. Some in the Mercedes community suspected that I must be adjusting the mirror to be too far in or else I would not have this problem. I have included photos of the mirror adjusted with the extender to show how I have the mirror adjusted now. The photo showing a part of the vehicle in the mirror required me to lean significantly to get that view. The photo showing no part of my own vehicle is what I see when sitting straight ahead.I printed this with PETG to better withstand the summer heat as opposed to standard PLA. So far it has fared well through its first Kansas summer.
