I made another run at modeling this neighborhood using a Phantom 2 v2 with a GoPro Hero 4 Black camera. This time, I flew higher and took it slower, making multiple passes over the townhomes in the center of the scene. The geometry gets increasingly distorted and textures become less sharp as you move towards the edges of the capture area.
