W.A.R.S Powerpole Kit Case
thingiverse
This case was built around the W.A.R.S. Powerpole Kit with Voltmeter. Minor Update: 2 options for the voltmeter top and end, Case slightly higher. I have also included a No Voltmeter version. Having built several of these kits using the supplied Jiffy box and cutting the hole out is usually a suitable option. We had some enquiries for a case design so here it is. http://vk2bv.org/home/projects/powerpole-distribution-box/ UNFORTUNATELY WE CANNOT SHIP THIS KIT OUTSIDE OF AUSTRALIA I have included the Fusion360 design file that you are welcome to reuse. For an alternative design, have a look at this project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2062698 (The photo is from the prototype.. I have increased the space for the first powerpole pair on the right) The photo with the black base is using the original jiffy box lid with the new body. Print Settings Printer: XMachines Lorei Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .200 Infill: 15% Notes: I have used PLA and ABS ok with this model. I think the walls are thick enough that it will handle a reasonable amount of external use. Use at least 3 shells on top layers so that the screws have something to attach to. As Pictured, another option is to use the original jiffy box lid. Post-Printing Drill out holes The LED hole is 5mm and the screw holes in the lid should be 3mm. The holes in the body should be 2.5mm to avoid the self taper pulling up the material. The "printed holes" are more for alignment than practical use. The screws from the original case fit but there is not enough depth for the rubber feet. Or use the original "Lid" from the kit. Glue or tape the voltmeter I placed a small piece (4mm x 4mm) of thin double sided tape on each small side of the voltmeter and wedged it in the gap. (You might only need one side) How I Designed This Designed with Autodesk Fusion 360
