VZ-9 Avro Avrocar
thingiverse
The Avrocar was designed by Avro Canada as an experimental VTOL prototype for the US Military's potential use in the late 1950s. It failed to meet most design goals and proved extremely unstable when flying outside the ground effect, leading to its retirement in 1961. Two prototypes were built and modified throughout their lifespan, resulting in several distinct external profiles. This "Thing" includes multiple versions for users to select from, although it may also create a sense of indecision. The Avrocar's test articles later underwent testing at NASA Windtunnels before being preserved in US museums.
