Vysehrad - Statue of Záboj and Slavoj
sketchfab
Vyšehrad, meaning "upper castle" in Czech, is a historic stronghold situated in Prague, just over three kilometers southeast of Prague Castle, on the Vltava River's right bank. Constructed possibly in the tenth century, this fort holds within it the Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul. A statue commemorating Záboj and Slavoj, sculptured by Josef Václav Myslbek, stands proudly inside the fort. This statue showcases the heroic brothers from ancient manuscripts of Dvůr Králové and Zelená Hora, who led a rebellion against Charlemagne's invading German troops in 805 and allegedly emerged victorious.
