It's often found that the mounting feet on a Vanagon/T25/T3 dashboard binnacle tend to snap off at the screw slots, which can be frustrating to deal with. This particular piece is designed as a clamp that grabs hold of whatever remains of the mounting feet, allowing the binnacle to be securely fastened once again. The original mount on the binnacle has a slight curve, so tightening the screws on this flat piece applies pressure over its entire length. The self-tapping screws originally included will not be long enough for use with this piece, which means they need to be replaced with No.8 x 5/8" (4.2mm x 16mm) screws instead. It's essential to have a handed pair, as the STL file provided is only for one side of the clamp. To create the other side, simply mirror it in your printer slicing software before printing.
