<p>The spare tyre carriers on VW Transporters have spacer sleeves &nbsp;on their support bolts which are apparently intended to prevent over tightening of the carrier. &nbsp; Unfortunately despite being designed to be held on captive “barbed” bolts, they are often lost in use.&nbsp;</p><p>These simple replacements are partly cosmetic, and partly functional - they serve as a visual aid when the bolt is “tight enough”, and protect the thread somewhat from road grime.<br><br>They are a tight fit over the bolt, but can be fitted by screwing them on by hand. &nbsp;This is to prevent them falling off (see first paragraph), but in the event of a loss they are simple enough to replace!<br><br>I've printed these in PETG 0.2mm QUALITY mode on PrusaSlicer with three perimeters and 25% infill, and they have stood up well to 10,000 kilometres of harsh driving on some of Australia's “more challenging” roads.</p><p>Before printing - check that your spare tyre is secure and measure the height of each spacer (depending on the tyre size you have, this may vary).<br><br>Open the STL in your slicer and unlock the coordinates box as shown below.<br><br>Adjust the “Z” dimension ONLY to suit your specific requirement.<br><br>&nbsp;<img src="https://media.prusaprinters.org/media/prints/120378/rich_content/c7894354-1d0b-4e3d-bf5c-8675d7ea219e/22-01-18-at-18-09-59.jpg#%7B%22uuid%22%3A%224c8df0ae-979a-40e0-b8ed-538c0d68132e%22%2C%22w%22%3A1350%2C%22h%22%3A1080%7D"></p>
