I've uploaded some of my models to a free site on the web, resulting in numerous copies floating around out there. But this particular model is the authentic one, meticulously checked to ensure it meets all size and shape requirements. As I made significant modifications to this original version back in October 2020, you won't find any exact replicas anywhere. This model was designed using Sketchup software and then converted into 3ds and obj formats utilizing Sketchup's built-in converter tool. Rendering was handled by the Maxwell free plug-in, while all materials were conveniently grouped together within a single folder. Textures used throughout the model came directly from Sketchup's library. To facilitate easier handling, various components like the steering wheel, lights, tires and wheels, wing mirrors, seats, and more are compiled into separate parts and neatly organized within this single model. This model is being offered exactly as it stands now. The Volkswagen Beetle â officially known as the Volkswagen Type 1, informally referred to in German as the Käfer (literally "beetle"), and often simply called the Bug in certain English-speaking regions â is a two-door, rear-engine economy car designed for five passengers. It was produced and marketed by the German automaker Volkswagen from 1938 until its discontinuation in 2003.
