VW Polo Dash Cell and GPS holder
thingiverse
VW Polo dash GPS and Cell holder with bars. Made specifically for the hole in the dashboard of 2008 Polos, but also compatible with other cars that have a similar design. For installation, no smooth surface is required on the dashboard as the suction cups are designed to grip firmly even on textured surfaces. To secure the GPS holder in place, simply push the bars into the holes and they will keep it down. The same principle applies to the cell phone holder. The flexible bars need to be pushed through the holes in the left and right pillars to keep the phone securely in position. This design was initially created for a Nokia Lumia 830 but may fit other models due to its flexibility. Printed with ABS plastic, which is ideal for car dashboards that can get very hot. A wide brim should be used when printing to ensure a strong and sturdy design. A 30-50% infill setting will suffice, but I personally prefer to use 100% infill for maximum stability. The extra tabs around the base of the holder are designed to prevent warping due to the large flat surface area, which can sometimes occur with ABS plastic. These tabs can be easily cut or broken off if desired.
