VW Key Head Replacement
thingiverse
I remixed the key head made by JulHa. The main purpose was to form the hole where the metal key fits to match the shape of the end of the key. This requires a "pause at layer" script to be added to the G-code, right before it starts printing above the hole. There is a small key-rest added to keep the key at the proper angle during the remainder of the print. It is a decently snug fit, with just a tiny bit of up and down wiggle for me, though the first layer printed over the metal key didn't stick for me, so that may be why. With a slight Z scale tweak or resuming the print at a slower speed you could probably make it fit tighter. I plan to drop some sort of glue in there to see if it will stop the wiggle completely. I also trimmed it down a bit and lessened the depth of the VW logo. With ironing turned on in Cura, it looks and feels nice and smooth on top.
