VW Golf / GTI iPad Mini Mount v7
thingiverse
I'm taking my seventh stab at crafting the perfect iPad Mini mount for my GTI, requiring a duo of m3 nuts and 10mm bolts in the process. The upside is that this iteration doesn't necessitate the use of a rubber case for the iPad. That being said, I wholeheartedly endorse printing with Nylon (Taulman 910) if possible, as it yields far superior results. First off, I'll be attaching one arm to the bottom frame via a trusty screw. Next up, a nut will be inserted into the backside of the second arm, which will then be suspended from the vents for optimal support. After that, the second arm gets attached to the bottom frame in the same fashion. Once all set, I'll insert the iPad and subsequently lower the top frame over it to create a seamless enclosure.
