A model of a German WWII staff car or Kommandeurswagen, styled in the livery of the Deutsches Afrikakorps. This vehicle was a modification of the classic German Beetle, and was essentially a Beetle body on top of the chassis of a Kubelwagen. The fenders, running boards and wheel arches were modified in order to incorporate the larger tyres needed for travel in rugged conditions. I have tried to model the car as faithfully as I could, but due to difficulties in finding accurate pictures of the vehicle and my lack of automotive mechanic or German military marking knowledge some inaccuracies are bound to have slipped in.
