http://www.reprapalgarve.com Follow the build on instructables: http://www.instructables.com/id/Vulcanus-MAX-CoreXY-Aluminum-Frame-RepRap-3D-Print/ On May 11, 2015, vulcaman published the Vulcanus V1 3D printer on his instructables channel. Meanwhile, reprapalgarve was working on a corexy project and when we saw Vulcanus V1, we jumped at the chance to be a part of it. With experience gained from scaling up the Prusa i3 (known as Mega Prusa i3), we redesigned the Vulcanus V1 parts to accommodate 32x32x32, 42x42x42, and 52x52x52 (the latter still untested) build volumes. The Vulcanus Max 30 has a 32x32x32 build area, an E3D V6 Lite extruder, automatic bed leveling, and a MK8 direct drive system. The Vulcanus Max 40 has a 42x42x42 build area, an E3D V6 Lite extruder, automatic bed leveling, and a MK8 direct drive system. To summarize, the Vulcanus Max is a scaled-up version of Vulcanus V1 with structural upgrades, all-metal direct drive systems, auto-bed leveling, LM10UU bearings, LMK12L Z bearings, and vibrant, lava-like acrylic panels. Print Settings Rafts: No rafts needed. Supports: Yes, we use supports to help stabilize the print. Resolution: We print at 3mm layer thickness for optimal results. Infill: Our infill setting is 40% for a solid yet aerated structure.
