This is the next iteration of the VuBase. Watch the V5 tutorial - it does involve some model manipulation with 3d builder. Use the v5 if you want a more minimal support removal in your finished nightguard. I have only tested it with Sprintray Nightguard Flex. Resin was provided by promotional courtesy of Sprintray. https://youtu.be/zXY2XUgGViY Update to V5.2 - 11/08/2021 The 5.2 was a nearly complete overhaul of the VuBase. The surface area of the raft was shifted to the posterior, to provide greater resistance for the torsion stress of a cantilevered nightguard print. The circles are have a slight taper to facilitate removal--a tip of the hat to the D3Splint team for that idea. The connectors are now tapered upwards to facilitate washing, and most of them go only one direction, another change inspired from the "Vu Le Platform" in D3Splint. (I know most offices don't design their own nightguards, but I encourage everyone who is considering it to try D3Splint) But the element everyone will notice is probably the new cones. I tapered and narrowed the cones down to 0.7 or 0.8mm minimum. This should provide a smaller set of bumps to finish down. If you have issues with occlusion or fit, go back to the next larger size. The original v5.0 has 1.0mm tipped cones. All of these designs are released under creative commons with attribution. You may use it free for your practice or lab business.
