this is a fighter vtol line i created in kerbal space program for a multiplayer turned based war i did, the original design has the wing engines pivot and a third engine in a fuselage cargo bay the first is the simplest based on the originial design i made, engines attatched to the shorter fuselage in kerbal space program the main gear was attatched to the raised wings, this made the wings part of the suspension system and kept the wheels in a wide open stance to give the aircraft stability when when landing on uneven terrain in vtol or normal mode, this version was incredibly useful at the start as many bases did not have runways and caputring with ground units could take too long, the second is a longer range version with the engines attatched to the wings, this helped reduce the chance of the wings breaking on harder landings by taking the weight off the fuselage. it also made it look better. this was the longest runing version of the fighter, the first version had issuees in air combat and all of them were shot down by our 5th turn. the new one had better aerodynamics on the wing engines pivoting systems making it faster, more effecient and better in combat the 3rd version was more of a test but nonetheless played an important part in the war by giving me a vtol interceptor, it had an aditional engine for better rate of climb at the cost of its range and weight, since it was now a 5 engined aircraft it was too expensive in terms of the turn based system, the last versions of the mk3 craft omited the vtol engine and swiveling wing engines to be a pure interceptor the 3rd model lead to the making of a new medium range fighter, which was important as the war kept going some of my bombers needed longer range backup,
