VTAIL Mini 295
thingiverse
This project was designed by someone else, but I hacked it out of carbon fiber instead of printing it. You can see the original design here: https://forums.openpilot.org/topic/42022-v-tail-quadcopter-open-source/. The legs came from this thing on Thingiverse: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:596820. I used 2mm CF for the body and arms, and 1.5mm CF for the supports. To put it all together, I needed M3 screws and locknuts for the body, but M5 screws and locknuts worked well for the outer arms. This little rig has Cobra 2204/2300kv motors with 6-inch props and a reliable power source of 1300mAh 4S batteries. I'm also running the flight controller Sparky 2 on top of OpenLRS using onboard software from Taulabs at http://taulabs.org/.
