Vstrom Handle Bar Dash Support for thingies
thingiverse
First attempt at a Vstom Dash to hold meters, switches, whatever. Fitted perfectly first time, you have to remove the 4 x bolt covers for the handle bar and the protrusions fit into the bolt heads (as the old covers did). I found the fit to be quite tight and holds the bracket in place securely. You can always add more to the extrusion to let it fit even tighter, but it is fairly tight as is. I see also that i need to reduce the extent of the 4 x extrusions as they do not fit flush with the bar mounts, probably need 1mm off the extrusion. Will do a ver2 with that mod and slightly modified dimensions as it can be a bit smaller. The ignition key is easy to access with this version but is probably 1cm too high, so will also shave that off on the next version, will also adjust the fillet on ver2, but is quite good anyway. Am thinking of adding loop to allow securing to hanlde bar with a cable tie - although the fit is quite tight so is probably not needed, but a nice to have for peace of mind. This print allows for the tyre pressure monitor display on left (single hole to secure) and a 2 x USB with voltmeter on the right.
