The VSS Vintorez, also known as Vss vintorez 01.jpeg, is a suppressed sniper rifle designed for undercover or clandestine operations. Originating from the Soviet Union, it has been in service since 1987 and used in various conflicts like the Soviet war in Afghanistan, Chechen Wars, 2008 South Ossetia war, and War in Donbass. Designed by Petr Serdjukov and Vladimir Krasnikov, it is manufactured by Tula Arms Plant and produced since 1987. The VSS Vintorez features a 9x39mm cartridge, gas-operated action, and a rate of fire of 700 rounds/min. It has a weight of 2.6 kg, length of 894 mm, and barrel length of 200 mm. The effective firing range is 300 m with iron sight and 400 m with PSO-1 telescopic sight. The rifle uses a 10 or 20-round detachable box magazine and can be fitted with a PSO-1 telescopic sight, 1PN51 night vision scope, and iron sights.
