I created this adapter to sidestep purchasing a separate unit and painstakingly disengaging all locking pins. To install it, first remove the pin holding the orange tip in place, then simply pop off the tip itself and slide on this custom-made attachment. For optimal performance, you'll need to craft some precision-fit scotchbright donuts that will snugly fit inside. While this adapter effectively muffles the distinctive popping sound of airsoft rifles, it won't eliminate the mechanical noises entirely.
