The Rebel Slave by Michelangelo stands tall at the Musee du Louvre in Paris. This stunning sculpture is part of a series of six figures executed by the renowned artist for Pope Julius II's tomb, of which two are now showcased at the Louvre and four are housed at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. The Rebellious Slave, alongside its counterpart, the Dying Slave, was carved out as part of the second project (1513) for the grand tomb. Michelangelo envisioned placing these two figures on either side of his majestic Moses. Unfortunately, this vision remained unfulfilled. In 1546, Michelangelo donated these statues to Ruberto Strozzi, a Florentine exile living in Lyon, who then gifted them to King Francois I of France. The Rebellious Slave was later passed through the hands of Conetable Anne de Montmorency and several members of the esteemed Montmorency and Richelieu families. It wasn't until 1794 that this magnificent work was acquired by the French state and has since been lovingly preserved at the Musee du Louvre. The artist behind this masterpiece is none other than Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, who crafted this sculpture around 1513. The Rebellious Slave can be found at its permanent residence in the Musee du Louvre, Paris, crafted from the finest marble. The model boasts a impressive number of vertexes and triangles - an astonishing 4997 vertexes and 9998 triangles to be precise. For those interested in lower polygon counts, the LOD version presents an equally impressive array of 2497 vertexes and 4998 triangles. Visually stunning renderings showcase the Product scene, beautifully rendered using PBR Materials and captured within Marmoset Toolbag without any post-processing magic. It's a testament to Michelangelo's mastery that this model is a near-perfect reproduction of the real-life statue. With its focus on low-poly design, the Rebellious Slave stands ready for deployment in Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) environments, and can effortlessly be integrated into high-resolution 4K displays. This marvel is more than prepared to dazzle in Real-time Engines and Applications, thanks to its fully unwrapped UVs. Within this comprehensive package lies a plethora of useful formats to suit any artist's needs: 1. A meticulously crafted Maya 2017 scene (.ma) 2. Autodesk FBX files (.fbx) 3.
