The Madonna of Bruges is a renowned marble sculpture created by the talented artist Michelangelo in 1505. It is an exemplary representation of Mary holding the Child Jesus. In contrast to many other depictions of the Madonna and Child, this piece exhibits sobriety and seriousness. Symbolically, it conveys the traditional idea that the Virgin was aware of her child's unfortunate destiny; her thoughtful gaze appears to reflect this concept. Moreover, Jesus steps down from his mother's lap as if he too is conscious of his impending role. Here he seems prepared to walk and embark on a symbolic journey that will lead him to his Passion. Currently, it is displayed in the Church of Our Lady in Bruges, Belgium. Like the Pieta in Rome, which was targeted by an unstable individual, this work now has a bulletproof screen positioned in front of it. Additionally, visitors are kept at a considerable distance from the sculpture, thus making careful observation impossible. The artist behind this masterpiece is Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni. The sculpture is situated in the Church of Our Lady in Bruges, Belgium, and its material type is marble. The PBR Shader Material used for rendering the work resembles the characteristics of genuine marble. In terms of vertex count, it consists of 7494 vertices and 14996 triangles. The LOD version of this piece boasts a reduced vertex count of 3995 vertices and 7998 triangles, demonstrating a decrease in polygon density. It can be observed on renderings alongside a product scene with PBR materials, which have been rendered using Marmoset Toolbag without post-processing. This model is founded upon the real-life statue and possesses various features that make it ideal for applications involving Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and 4K visual displays. To achieve high-quality renderings and support Real-time Engines, this piece has been fully unwrapped and contains non-overlapping UVs. The following assets are included in the package: 1. A Maya 2017 scene in (.ma) format 2. An Autodesk FBX file (.fbx) 3. A Wavefront OBJ file (.obj) 4. A Stereolithography model (.stl) Additionally, high-resolution texture maps with a size of 4096x4096 pixels and TrueVision TARGA Type 2 formatting (.tga) are included for both Metallic PBR and Specular workflows. Furthermore, the package includes a LOD version with the following assets: 1. A LOD Maya 2017 scene in (.ma) format 2. An Autodesk FBX file (.fbx) 3. A Wavefront OBJ file (.obj) 4. A Stereolithography model (.stl) Each of these LOD models contains reduced polygon density and fewer vertices than their full-poly counterparts, consisting of 3995 vertices and 7998 triangles respectively.
