Human: Bust of Medusa by Gian Lorenzo Bernini is on display at The Musei Capitolini in Rome. Medusa is a famous marble sculpture based on Ovid's classical myth about the same character. It was skillfully created by Italian master sculptor Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly when he completed it, but most likely sometime in the 1640s. This magnificent artwork was first documented back in 1731 when it was given to The Palazzo dei Conservatori in Rome, and now it's proudly a part of The Capitoline Museums' collection. Artist: Gian Lorenzo Bernini worked on Medusa between 1644 and 1648.
