VR Ears - Oculus Quest 2 Mount Closer to Ears
thingiverse
**Work in Progress:** VR Ears is a product designed by Rebuff Reality. VR Ears are "Off ear" headphones (Ear Speakers) designed from the ground up for VR Headsets. They made an awesome universal adapter that holds the headphones off ear. For me personally, they hold the speakers too far away from my ears. This project represents my second attempt to remedy this problem. It's a little rough, but does in fact mount them closer to your ears. I need to do a revision that's between V1 & V2. If you're wanting to try, V2 has them mounted the closest to ears but I feel they actually may be too close I'm not convinced they sound better. **Directions:** Print 2 pieces with Supports. I personally print the same orientation the STL is in with a brim to make sure it sticks. Once you print, remove supports and try using the extra spacer that comes with VR Ears kit to see if it clips in proper. You should hear a click and be able to use the little tabs to slide it back out. No sense in risking the VR ears getting stuck in your print if something went wrong on the print. After you verify everything looks printed correct, slide the piece from the front back to the edge of the thickest part of the strap just before the built in speaker holes. **Note:** this only works with the Oculus Quest 2. It will work for the Elite Strap or the regular cloth strap just fine. **Disclaimer: ** If this doesn't hold your VR ears snug enough, I don't take any responsibility since printing strength varies by material used and layer adhesion. Use this print at your own risk.
