VR Desk Dock - USB 3.0 & DisplayPort (Oculus Rift S)
thingiverse
A versatile dock for VR headsets that utilize USB 3.0 and DisplayPort, such as the Oculus Rift S, can be achieved with this project. For those looking to connect a Valve Index, a specialized cable is required, which I'm currently trying to obtain. ### Required Hardware The following components have been thoroughly tested and verified for use with the Oculus Rift S: - Amazon Basic USB 3.0 extension cable, 3m in length. - DeLock DisplayPort extension cable, 3m long. - Two M3x10-M3x20 screws for assembly. - Four Spax 3.5x20 or similar wood screws for mounting purposes. ### Recommended Settings For a successful printout, it's recommended to have both parts standing upright on the front and back sides. Printing at a resolution of 0.2 mm produces excellent results. Supports should be enabled for the cover part; however, the base can be printed without any additional support. If you're using PrusaSlicer with a Prusa i3 MK3S printer, consider giving the *.3mf file a try, as it includes the models along with my recommended settings. ### Your Creations are Valued Your photos of your completed projects would be greatly appreciated.
