I updated the four Capstan files to include "V2" in their names (Version 2). I recommend using these new files instead of the original ones, but I've left them available as well. The old files don't have the "V2" designation. These parts are for articulating bomb bay doors on VQ models 110” B-24. For more information, check out this blog post: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3321299-VQ-110-B-24-rolling-bomb-bay-doors As of now, I haven't decided how to gear the center rod yet. I'll take some measurements and determine the required torque before deciding on a solution. So, gears are not included with these parts. Here's what you get: a center rod that can be rotated to open or close the doors. But, figuring out how to rotate that rod... still up in the air for me. Check out these terms for more context: * Center Rod Holder - holds a 3mm rod that rotates to open and close the doors. * Capstan - cylinder where cables wrap around to open and close the doors. * Opening Pulley - pulls the doors open, sitting at the top of the "channels" the doors slide into. * Closing Pulley - pulls the doors closed, sitting on the "catwalk" that runs along the bottom of the bomb bay. * Guide - I added 8 pulleys to route cables fully within the bomb bay, which is optional. In all cases, the rearmost position (the back of the back door) differs from the other three positions. Everything gets smaller in the rearmost position as the fuselage narrows down. The others are close to equivalent. Even the travel of the door is shorter in the back (the rear door skews slightly in its track along the range of movement, and the front end travels farther than the rear end). This only applies to the rear door. So, even the Capstan has two sizes: one for the rearmost position and another for the other three positions. The Guide for the rearmost channel has a little rise on one side to follow the contour of the plywood it mounts to. That means left and right sides are not equivalent, and we need mirror images. For all the other channels, the Guide is symmetric, so no left/right versions are needed. The CenterRodHolder mounts to the bottom of the battery bay with 2-56 bolts. You can see a cutout where the nut goes - I recommend using a washer on the other side. Don't overtighten and crack the part! Here's what you need: * CenterRodHolder (4): holds the 3mm center rod. * CapstanV2Small (1): rearmost Capstan * CapstanV2Large (3): Capstan for the other three positions * CapstanV2RimSmall (1): rearmost Capstan rim * CapstanV2RimLarge (3): Capstan rim for the other three positions * ClosingPulleyHolder (4): closing pulley holder (double) that goes on the catwalk down the center of bomb bay * OpeningPullyHolderFat (6): opening pulley holder inside channel (except rearmost) * OpeningPulleyHolderThin (2): opening pulley holder inside rearmost channel * GuideRearRight (1): guide pulley holder for rearmost channel * GuideRearLeft (1): guide pulley holder for rearmost channel, mirror image * GuideRegular (6): guide pulley holder for channels other than rearmost
