This is designed for 3/4 inch thick plywood and made to be installed from the back. It's 5 x 8 x 5/8 with a 3/8 apron for a total size of 5-3/4 x 8-3/4 x 5/8. you will have to recess a pocket if you need it flush on the front. I wanted mine recessed a little. Also there is a pocket that allows LED's to be installed easily.
