Voyager 1, a space probe designed by NASA, took flight on September 5, 1977. As part of the ambitious Voyager program aimed at exploring the outer Solar System, Voyager 1 was launched 16 days after its twin, Voyager 2. Over 42 years, 9 months, and 5 days since its deployment on June 10, 2020, this spacecraft continues to effectively communicate with the Deep Space Network to receive regular commands and transmit data back to Earth.
