Voxelab Aquila Z Endstop repurpose to Filament Sensor
prusaprinters

After installing a BLTouch on my Aquila, I had a spare Z endstop. So why not repurpose it to be a filament sensor!

I tried to design it as a simple replacement with stock materials. The only change needed to the Z Endstop is to bend it a bit, as described in the photo. However, you might get away with not doing it at all.

Note: The cable connecting to the mainboard is out of scope for this thing as I have replaced my H32 mainboard with a different one.

Important: Make sure your line width is not too big as it may cause your slicer to introduce a gap near the exit hole (see comparison image).

Edit 1: Added a version with a direction arrow
Category: 3D Printer Accessories
