Voxelab Aquila Hot End Cover for 4020 fan
thingiverse
I have been looking to increase the airflow over the hot end to stop heat creep as I've increased the temperature of the nozzle with different filament types. To do this I've searched for a replacement hot end cover that will accommodate a 4020 fan as the standard cover is just a little bit small. Having not found anything suitable and as I want to keep the look of the standard cover whilst still utilise the part cooling fan, I decided to design my own. I have done this with a flat face so that the cover can be printed easily front face down, not as shown in the images above. I have also included what I feel are some improvements to the flow of the air to direct it at the hot end. After printing I used the screw that holds the cover to the printer and just screwed it in to the 5 screw locations to create the threads. Install a 4020 fan first, there are locating pins to make this easier and then the standard blower parts cooling fan on the side
