Voxelab Aquila Bowden to Direct Drive Mount for Satsana
thingiverse
Disclaimer: I am not a professional, I don't know what I'm doing. I just needed something and made it. It may or may not work as expected. If you have ideas for improving it, let me know! I wanted to try out direct drive on my Voxelab Aquila and I wasn't sure if the models for the Ender 3 would work on the Aquila because things are slightly different between the two printers. I ended up modeling a mount using my own measurements and a few extra models from thingiverse for reference. Namely, I used the "Aquila Hotend gantry" from @bobthestapler and "A better Satsana Fan Shroud for Voxelab Aquila" by @TheSubaruJunkie. Please note: I don't think the measurements on that gantry model are quite right so be careful if you build things from it. Also, I made this bracket SPECIFICALLY for use with the Satsana mentioned above. It's designed to sit on top of it and use it for structural support. It might work with other satsanas but I can't confirm anything. The renders may look like the bracket is clipped through it, but it has an indent to rest perfectly on the surface of the shroud. I would imagine this is not a good permanent solution, and it probably puts extra stress on the PTFE coupler, but if you want to try direct drive, it works.
