The deceased sits comfortably on a couch. In front of him lies an inviting table spread with all manner of delectable dishes. It's a well-known custom to offer bread and other victuals to honored heroes, which is why you see this scene so frequently depicted on votive reliefs. To the left, the benefactors are shown in a pious attitude, their right hands raised upwards in supplication.
