Found in the Asklepieion at Epidauros, a remarkable sculpture showcases Asklepios seated majestically on an ornate throne. Beside him stands his devoted wife, Epione, radiating warmth and love. In the center, a youthful figure clad in a chiton, adorned with a chlamys, high shoes, and a sword, presents to the god a mysterious object resembling a model of a horse's head. The young man is likely Hippolytos, accompanied by his loyal attendant, a young groom. This incredible sculpture forms part of "Scan The World", a groundbreaking non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory, aimed at creating a vast digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe. Through Scan The World, we are building a public treasure trove of free-to-access content for everyone to enjoy.
