This stunning relief was unearthed in the historic region of New Phaleron, Attica.\r\nDedicated by Xenokrateia to the revered river-god Kephisos, the intricate relief boasts an impressive thirteen figures in total.\r\nXenokrateia proudly presents her young son, Xeniades, to Kephisos, who is positioned centrally within the relief. To Kephisos' left, Apollo majestically sits atop the iconic Delphic tripod, with his feet planted firmly on the sacred omphalos; nearby stands a majestic eagle in regal splendor.\r\nOn the far right of the relief, Acheloos takes shape as a powerful humanized bull.
