Vortex paint shaker

Vortex paint shaker

This is a 0-dollar vortex shaker that can be adapted to any rotary tool, such as a Dremel or equivalent. I used a broken drill bit inserted off-axis into a ball bearing extracted from the moving head of an old hard drive. The 3D printed axis is attached to the shaft, and then the drill bit is hammered firmly in place, no glue required. To avoid excessive wear, run the vortex at moderate speeds. It works impressively well, but keep the bottle gently pressed onto the top part. Watch it in action: https://youtu.be/aqX01hl8PG4
