Here are two modifications for the Vorpal Hexapod. Originally, I had a problem with ABS when it cooled down and caused the top to break due to tension. Therefore, I replicated this and reinforced it with strengthening ribs. The top is slightly larger than the original, so it's not entirely identical. When printing with ABS, I would recommend using a brim. I modified the top of the remote control by changing how the plates with buttons are mounted and adding contacts around the keypads. The intermediate plate that takes in the keypads had to be made thicker than the original to get the key height right. To save a little material, I added some pockets to the design. To secure the board with yellow keys, I used M2.5 threaded inserts. For this, drill the holes with a 4mm drill bit, insert the threaded insert, and press it down with a soldering iron. WARNING: Make sure everything fits when soldering the key matrix using the key templates. If not, nothing will fit! October 1, 2018: The hole for the yellow top button was moved up by 0.5mm. I also added a housing for the switch, which must be assembled and glued together. This part has been printed and tested. P.S. Yes, I know... I completely messed up the settings for this print.
