Voronoi toothpaste holder

Voronoi toothpaste holder

myminifactory

A handy and decorative toothpaste holder that keeps your wet toothpaste tube from leaking everywhere. Its clever design features a hole in the bottom, which allows excess water to drain away. Design Process: I started by using Fusion 360 to create a box that perfectly fits my toothpaste. Then, I inserted an SVG of a tooth into the model and carefully cut it out of the box's surface. Next, I opened up the file in Meshmixer and used its powerful brush tool to smooth out the object, paying special attention to the middle section where the tooth was cut out. After that, I separated the shells using a plane cut, creating two distinct parts: the lower part and the upper part. To ensure a seamless connection between them, I used the edit function to create one-sided edges on both parts. Then, I combined the lower part with the upper part, carefully aligning their edges. Finally, I used Meshmixer's analysis function to repair any errors in the file and saved it as an STL-file. With the help of 123 Design, a program I'm familiar with, I scaled up the design to prepare it for printing.
