Strawberry Protection Riser: Keep Your Strawberries Safe from the Ground and Pests. I designed a basic model using Fusion 360 to create a protective riser for your strawberries. First, I uploaded my design to Voronator.com to prepare it for 3D printing. Next, I opened the PLY file in Windows 10's "3D Builder" tool because it directly supports this format and is a useful resource. I used 3D Builder to remove about 1mm from the top of my model to create a smooth surface for printing. After that, I exported my design as an STL file. Now you can use your preferred slicer to prepare your model for printing. Once printed, place your strawberries on this riser to keep them safe and clean. I used food-grade PETG material to print my prototype without supports. However, minor bridging was required due to the complex geometry of the design. I recommend printing at a moderate temperature with maximum cooling fan speed. For optimal results, print with 7% infill and two outer shells. To add extra protection for your strawberries, consider adding three to five additional top shells. Happy gardening and 3D printing, fellow earthlings!
